DfE Removes Apprentice Cap For Small Businesses

Written by Hawk Training | 31/03/23 12:54

Following the announcement from Robert Halfon, Skills Minister for the Department of Education, non-levy employers will no longer be limited to a maximum of 10 new apprenticeship starts per year.

From April 3rd, 2023, small businesses can benefit from recruiting as many apprentices as they need, to meet the demands of the business and fill vital skills gaps across their organisation.

At Hawk Training we are proud to support and work in partnership with a wide range of employers, seeing first-hand the positive contribution that apprentices make. We look forward to supporting more learners and employers, following this positive change for small businesses.

The current reservation process for non-levy employers remains the same, with reservations being added through the finance section of the apprenticeship service portal.
