This year was the 13th National Apprenticeship Week, and as it draws to an end, we'd like to share and reflect on whats been one of the busiest and most exciting years yet. Many of our employers have held events which we’ve supported and proudly attended.
Our own learner forum was a huge hit. We took this year’s theme of ‘Look Beyond’ to new level and focused on how an apprenticeship can shape your future career, inviting former apprentice and advocate Jack Eldridge to share his inspiring story. Jack started as an admin apprentice and is now the Head of Business Planning for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport department in Government.
Following this we invited Jeremy King from STEM in schools in for a ‘look beyond’ themed team building event which saw apprentices and line managers building space rockets out of newspapers with the use of a mangle and glue. National Apprenticeship Week has given us the opportunity to celebrate our apprentices and employers! But we’re still looking for 30 Hawk Stars (current and former learners and employers who go above and beyond in their roles and are true apprentice role models). As part of our Hawk is 30 events we will be inviting our 30 Hawk stars to an awards event which will celebrate their success and showcase the hard work they do! If you have anyone in mind that you’d like to nominate, please get in touch, contact hello@hawktraining.com
