Every year our staff are encouraged to take a 'Giving Back Day' to give back to the local community by volunteering for a cause that is close to their heart. This can include things from litter picking to listening to children read in at school and volunteering in a charity shop to sponsored runs.
Last week Jack, our Apprenticeship Engagement Advisor, used his Giving Back Day to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning. We spoke to Jack to find out a bit more about how his coffee morning went...
"After the last 18 months we have had, we could all enjoy a bit of tea and lots of cakes! Being a part of this small coffee morning was such a pleasure as we managed to raise £560, which I know will definitely change people's lives. It was lovely to see so many people with friends and family come together for such an amazing cause. Not to mention, the cakes were amazing!"
