Getting your A-levels or GCSEs results can be very daunting especially when trying to decide which path to take in the next chapter of your life. No matter what your results are, an apprenticeship is a great opportunity for everyone and could be the right option for you.
There are no formal entry requirements to start many apprenticeship programmes; this includes GCSE’s in maths and English.
An apprenticeship gives you a paid job and the chance to get your qualifications – with no student debt, plenty of professional support and the chance to get your career off to a flying start.
For 12-18 months, you work as a paid employee, with a dedicated mentor to support you. Many employers take on apprentices permanently upon completion of their programme. Choosing an apprenticeship route doesn’t mean you can’t progress to university later on in life, if you want to. Some apprenticeships can provide a progression route on to a degree programme.

- Gain work experience and a qualification BEFORE going to university or doing a degree level apprenticeship!
Getting a degree or other similar type qualifications seems to be a very popular start for young people these days, but many employers would much rather take on an apprentice. Employers can develop you to become a valuable employee and you can gain the skills needed for the role at hand, rather than a graduate, who has to translate their learned skills into the real world of work.
