Top Tips for Dealing with Stress
To mark National Stress Awareness Month we spoke to our Learning Support Lead, Steph, to find out what her top tips are for coping with stress. Read on to find out how you can minimise the stress in your life!
- Make a realistic to do list - split up big tasks.
- Make time to take yourself on a date - you matter.
- Take up a hobby that you have been putting off - no more excuses.
- Try and control what is causing you stress and step away from the stress if you can to protect yourself.
- Be more active - walking is a great way to clear your head and gives you clarity. A little a day goes a long way.
- Talk to someone you trust or contact a help line.
- Start keeping a journal of how you feel - take time to think about the good things in your life. List two or three things that you are thankful for.
- Plan in advance of any upcoming stressful days or events/ make these plans detailed to keep your stress levels low.
- Find out what will work for you. You are unique!
